SE Top
Bilbo’s latest addition to the family is the Special Entry ‘SE’ Range, available on the short wheelbase Komba, Celex or Nexa conversions.
What sets the SE range apart from the others is the base vehicle we build it on. The SE range is built solely on the Volkswagen Short wheel base Window Van with a range of engine sizes starting with the 2.0TDi 84ps. The SE is available in three interior layouts to suit your needs: The Komba SE a 5 seater with a multi-purpose interior, the Celex SE which has a compact but spacious layout, and the Nexa SE with a flexible interior layout.
This no frills base vehicle comes as standard with grey bumpers, manual cab windows and mirrors, twin air-bags, rear tail gate, remote central locking & dead locks, factory fitted immobiliser, ABS (Anti-lock Breaking System), EDL (Electronic Differential Lock), ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme), adjustable steering column and more, mostly what you’d expect from a modern vehicle.
No frills are fitted though, unless you want them, so electric windows & mirrors are optional, along with swivelling seats, opening rear windows, air-conditioning, alloy wheels and such.
The SE range proves to be an extremely economical vehicle with customers enjoying over 40mpg and cruising speeds well over 70mph
The SE range is built with the same quality of fixtures and fittings as with the motorhome base vehicle models and fitted as standard with the Bilbo’s side elevating roof. The fixed high top is available on all SE layouts as an option or if you prefer the front lifting roof with adult roof beds, this is available on the Komba & Celex.
The Bilbo’s SE model is a great way of becoming a New Bilbo’s camper owner, with the same high standard of quality design and build finish but on a more affordable base vehicle.

The well established Bilbo’s Komba, Celex and Nexa conversions are all available as an SE model:
Gas Top
Designed to supply the gas hob, the SE gas locker will carry two Camping Gaz 907 cylinders, one Calor Propane 3.9kg cylinder or one Calor Butane 4.5 kg cylinder, all at 30Mbar. Gas cylinders are stored in an air tight steel lined storage compartment, which is vented through the floor of the vehicle. There is easy access to the gas locker on the se from the tailgate located at the rear of the vehicle.
Water Top
The SE is fitted with an onboard fresh water tank and 35 litre waste tank, fitted with an easily accessible drainage tap. By fitting our fresh water tank onboard, this automatically helps with the winterisation of your tank and means that the tanks / water won’t freeze in our changeable climate! All fresh water fillers are also located internally too so there can be no confusion between the Fuel filler and water. Providing you keep your fresh tank clean, maintained and don’t hold water in it for prolonged periods, it is safe to drink from the tap. The waste (grey) water tank is fitted underneath the vehicle with easy access to the drainage tap, and level gauges are fitted to both fresh & waste tanks.
Electrics Top
All Bilbo conversions are fitted with a 12V system and 240V hook-up. The 12V system uses power from a 135amp/hr leisure battery (additional battery to the vehicle battery) and controls all 12V conversion equipment. This system runs the compressor fridge, lighting and water system and is charged when driving or when hooked up to mains.
A Power Management System is fitted with a digital display showing; battery voltage levels, water levels, internal and external temperature, appliance current consumption and alarm clock.
The SE conversion is fitted with at least one 240V socket as standard and a 12V socket.

Warranties Top
Our SE range of conversions is built upon the tried and tested Volkswagen T5 window van. With the exception of conversion work carried out by Bilbo’s, these vehicles are covered by Volkswagens own warranties. Bilbo’s provides a comprehensive coverage package aimed to give our customers peace of mind with trouble free motoring.
Bilbo’s modification & products Top
Consisting of a non-transferable 2-year / 24,000 miles (whichever comes first) covering all aspects of workmanship and components. Should defects be deemed to result from misuse, this warranty will be void. Subject to one years warranty.
Volkswagen 3-year roadside assistance Top
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, your vehicle is covered by a comprehensive roadside assistance package. Anyone driving the vehicle with your permission is also covered. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Three year UK & Europe roadside assistance provided by Volkswagen Emergency Assistance is subject to terms and conditions. Further details are available on request from your nearest Volkswagen Van Centre.
Volkswagen 3-year whole vehicle warranty Top
Consisting of a 2-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and 1-year Van Centre warranty. In the third year the warranty continues until a maximum of 100,000 miles. Third year warranty is only available on vehicles purchased and registered in the UK through a Volkswagen ‘Specialist Converter’, and approved Volkswagen motorhome dealer or a Volkswagen Van Centre. Warranty excludes non-durable parts such as brakes and clutch linings.
